Little Act of Kindness: What have we done lately that would fit into this category? I’m going to list a few random ACTS of KINDNESS that I’ve been involved in TODAY; then maybe you might want to send in a comment or two, describing your encounters. Ok, let’s get the ball rolling. While walking across the intercession this morning; I purposely waved and smiled at the first 5 car drivers; only one waved back. I visited an 80 year old friend in the hospital this AM. I went to some depth describing to him, why he was still an V-I-P, especially to me. I gave someone a shirt for their child. I gave another 5 pairs of socks. While riding through the fast food lane, I paid for my food, and also the car behind me. Now, let me tell you what others did for/to me as their act of kindness, just TODAY. A receptionist at the hospital gave me a super nice smile and greeting. A kind lady held the door open for me this morning. Someone called and invited me to lunch. A friend offered to sell a tract of land for me. A friend gave me a letter of introduction on a business opportunity. My wife purchased a special kind of Root Beer for me. A contractor kept his word about doing some extra work for me without accepting payment. When passing by a barber shop this AM, a barber came out and offered to give me a free trim (and I didn’t even know him). A fellow held the elevator door open for me. All of this just happened today. 1 Peter 5:5 – Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. What happened “good” to you today?….Blessings…cjlb…10/28/13
