I’m DOUBTFUL if there are very many of us who don’t “lack doubt” on something, or other. Seemingly, DOUBT, is all too common amongst us humans. We doubt our success, such that we think we are “poor providers.” We doubt our friendships, we doubt our co-workers, and even, some family members. We have doubt regarding, unfortunately, sometimes, even our spouses.
Just about any kind of disappointment is tantamount to DOUBT. Our disappointments began to fester, and get out of hand, and transcend into DOUBT. Serious doubt could lead to many other serious issues, if allowed to get out of hand. Depression could set in, which we all know, could lead to “really serious” issues. There is a “natural tendency” to worry and become, even more, doubtful. It’s because we are dealing with an “unknown.”
When we have little knowledge of a particular subject then it is EASY for DOUBT to settle in. If suddenly, you inherited many millions of dollars, and knew absolutely about nothing about investing, and the “game of finance,” you would, naturally, have grave DOUBT. Lack of UNDERSTANDING is the “root foundation” of doubt.
If you were a recent CPA, or law school graduate, and barely skimmed by in your studies… then, naturally, you would have grave DOUBT about your ability to pass the Bar, or the CPA exam. You’re NOT PREPARED. You’re NOT KNOWLEDGABLE. Enter the issue of …SALVATION.
Since “all of salvation” has to deal with FAITH…and if we LACK faith…because we lack KNOWLEDGE, then we going to be eaten-up with DOUBT, and even maybe…GUILT. The BEST-WAY to rid yourself of DOUBT, is to “know your subject.” And, in the case of SALVATION, then, we MUST KNOW the Holy Scripture. A general “lack of knowledge,” equates entirely to DOUBT. There’s “no-doubt” about it.
It’s not our PRAYER that saves us, or some self-righteous act, or deed that we say or do; rather, it’s the blood of Jesus that TAKES AWAY our sins in response to our faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26, says: “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.” No amount of doubt, or lack of emotion, can keep the soul out of Heaven who solely trusts totally on the precious blood of Jesus. Then in Colossians 1:14, “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” Also, in Isaiah 45:22, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.”
We are saved because we look to Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, so that we might have life everlasting; thus making our SALVATION a “supernatural act of God. …Blessings…. Cjlb …4/24/15.
