Exclusive vs. Inclusive. The process of leaving people out, or things out, or in. Leave them in, or take them out? We all have to deal with this issue, almost, every day. What to do? Planning a trip….who to invite? Having a dinner party at your house…who to invite, who to leave off? Going to a movie….who to go with? Car will only hold 6 people….who to leave at home? Only can choose 9 people on your team….who to eliminate? Only so much money allocated for raises….who to leave out? Decisions…decisions. Ok…now, how to handle all of these scenarios? Enie Meanie mighty Moe…he’s got to go. That’s one way. Another is seniority; another is based on….who was included last time, can be excluded this time. Establish criteria, and apply accordingly. A good Leader can make those decisions, and never look over his shoulder. Why did Jesus choose Peter? Why did Jesus choose Paul? Why did God choose Moses? Why did God choose David to succeed Saul? There is always good people to choose from, but a good Leader will choose the best to serve the purpose at hand. The good news is that God has chosen each of us…for a specific reason, a specific plan, designed just for us. He knows every hair on our head. In Peter’s case, He even prayed for Peter in Luke 22:31-33 – “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” But he said to Him, “Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!” Jesus is all inclusive, He excluded no one, when He died on the cross, so that we “all” might have life everlasting. We see in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal …Blessings… cjlb …5/20/14
