“…Are we proud of ourselves as we approach the end of the calendar year..?

Image result for caricature of a proud manReflecting on the PAST… How often do your pause…and reflect… on your progress… or LACK… thereof? When we start our reflection process; what comes first to mind? Did we do our best at our job? And, if not, why; and what can we do to better perform in the future?

Did we carry our weight in family obligations, and if not; what can we do to improve in the future? Have we been up-holding our end of social responsibilities? Were we equally responsible in being a good friend… as our friends are to us? Have we been faithful to our community in serving the less fortunate? If you had to grade your own work performance… would you give yourself a raise?

And most importantly, were we faithful in our Spiritual Responsibilities as God expects us to be? Have we been as thankful for all the Gifts that Our Lord has blessed us with… and have we been faithful stewards in the use of those gifts… and have we used our skills to help others and the Kingdom of God? If, upon reflection…we have been weak in our faith… then what are the plans to be more of a Faithful, and humble Servant to our fellow man, and to Our Lord Jesus Christ?

If we have “fallen-short,” then… we MUST come up with a POA…plan-of-action…to get back “on course” in our spiritual life… just as we are to do with our business, social… and play-time. If we are not “planning on doing” what is EXPECTED of us…the by default, we are planning on failure. As ALWAYS… it’s a CHOICE. Are we making the proper choices?

In short… are we proud of ourselves as we approach the end of the calendar year? And… is God proud of us? 1 John 3:16-17 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?

If one were to “think” possibly, that he’s NOT following God’s plan… then be assured… he is not. Following God’s will…. In one’s life, is NOT conjecture… not by happen chance… and, not unintentional…. Rather…. It is on purpose…. With purpose.
