“…Backsliding is also a big issue in one’s quest to develop a sustaining career…”

20131121_203401BACKSLIDING:  Backsliding is not just an issue of Salvation, as Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. Jesus said, “He who endures to the end will be saved” (Matt. 24:13).  But backsliding is also a big issue in one’s quest to develop a sustaining career.  We humans tend to think that once we’re saved…it’s a done deal.  But Paul says in Philippians 2:12 – “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.”  When the Management is away, we must continue to function as if he were here.  Skirting our responsibilities does not get the job done.  What’s the saying…when the teacher is away, the children will play.  So it is in the corporate life.  Even Senior Management spends too much time at playing around at Conventions, Seminars, and training programs. The Government has been recently exposed for this very compromise.  Rather one falls from Grace at work, play, or on God’s time…we best beware….(God Bless the Soul and the Family of John Fitzgerald Kennedy) …Blessings…cjlb…11/22/13
