I’m absolutely OVERWHELMED! Do you “LET things” get so out of control…that you’re just overwhelmed. I’ve been there, though…not often, and certainly…not for long. It’s a learning process, and should not be considered as a flirtation with FAILURE… in any remote manner.
So how does something like that… realistically, happen? To me, it happens when one is simply NOT PREPARED. I’m not suggesting that they don’t KNOW their subject, and are not well skilled…. rather, I’m saying that they might not be properly PREPARED. One can have a well-thought-out POA (plan of action), but because they omit some important factors, i.e. adequate manning tables, and corresponding budget – they’re going to be “overwhelmed.”
If you don’t have sufficient personnel to initiate and complete a contract….then…you’re NOT PREPARED. If you underperform, then your career could be in jeopardy….you’re NOT PREPARED. One could apply this same condition, of being OVERWHELMED, to their family life (not really prepared to get married, or the institution of …children); or a career move (not being prepared to fulfill their new career responsibilities); or playtime (not having appropriate playtime tools); and finally…can one be OVERWHELMED by their relationship and responsibilities with GOD?
Too often, we overlook our “spiritual responsibilities,” taking such minutia for granted. Remember… since we are made in the Image of God, we are held to a higher calling, along with “extra…and demanding” responsibilities. And, to some of us… a very “overwhelming” responsibility. We are told in… Luke 24:49 – And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power (being prepared) from on high.”
This is a clear message that we are expected to be “prepared” for the responsibilities that God will impose on us. God does not want us to be over-whelmed. If we are “over-whelmed” with our walk with Christ…it simply means that we are walking alone… not with….Our Lord God, Jesus Christ. Until we “completely surrender,” we will always find ourselves in a “over-whelming” situation.
Note: You have, very likely, noticed that I have had a “terrible technical delivery issue” with this website. We have been working feverishly for several weeks trying to get to the root of the issue, and believe that we have corrected most, if not all, of our problems. Thank you for bearing with me during this “technical storm.” Now…if you would be “so kind,” as to CONFIRM to me that you are receiving this posting (via return email)… it would HELP confirm the reliability of our delivery mechanism. Should you have a WordPress issue, or a “website” issue, you many wish to consider the guys at “WPsitehelpers.com <email@example.com>” to get you up and going at a very reasonable cost.
