“…Empowered by Hope, Love, and Charity… help us to live our Faith with Integrity and Character…”

This is the morning when Christians everywhere, washed clean of their sins, and set free from all defilement, are restored to Grace and grow together in holiness.  This is the morning when Jesus Christ broke the chains of death and rose triumphant from the grave.  This is Resurrection Sunday.  This is Easter.  The power of the resurrection dispels all evil, washes all guilt away, restores brokenness, brings mourning to joy, casts out hatred, defies anger, offers peace, and humbles pride.  This is the morning when our reconciliation with God is made complete.  Thus, in the joy of this date… we offer to God, the Father, our praise, and ourselves as disciples of the Good News, that “He is Risen!  He is Risen.”

Dear Lord, of all of man-kind... In the hurried life that we live this day, we should pause a moment, and remind ourselves that the Resurrection of Jesus Christ not only provides us Hope for personal immortality, but that His Resurrection also provides us Hope for living; hope for today, tomorrow, and for all of eternity.  Empowered by Hope, Love, and Charity… help us to live our Faith with Integrity and Character.  Help us, Dear Lord… to be a human-kind who genuinely reflect the Risen Lord, who dwells within us.  In our everyday living, help us to know that You are present, living, caring, and uplifting us to face the daily challenges that are before us.  Deliver us from the chains of the past and make us alive to the goodness and blessings of today.  Resurrection will then become for us the liberating Good News of Jesus Christ. Amen.

O God in heaven, we know You as the God of life and death.  We know You are the God of all creation and redemption.  This day…we worship in celebration that your redemption has come full circle.  In the midst of all the challenges, chaos and confusion of this wonderful world you have made for us, we know Who will have the last word…the Resurrected Christ Jesus.  Your victory over death is ours through Faith.  The sting of worldly pain has a balm of Hope that comes to us through your suffering on the Cross.  In your Name, and your Glory… we offer these prayers of Thanksgiving.  Amen…and, Amen.

Happy Easter to all of God’s people…and, many Blessings…cjlb…4/16/2017
