Dissension within the ranks: Healthy disagreement is a preamble for success. There’s different kinds of dissension, I believe. For an example: simple dispute vs. infighting; or simple friction vs. conflict; and a little discord vs. strife. Sometimes, even, companies will literally fail from implosion, due to serious infighting; especially amongst senior management. Then, too, there are circumstances where outsiders come in to consult, assist, and re-direct the company from within. When, then, there is strife between the management and the outsiders; the management will always win the argument, but lose the battle. And, the typical reason is that they, the management, don’t want to change their ways; they pay for the advice, but don’t take it. The whole scenario is not too
unlike following God’s advice. For many, He’s the Outsider…… standing at the door, trying to help….but because we don’t want to Surrender to CHANGE… we will fail. Surrendering to change is the process of confessing our sins, to repent… or to be remorseful and conversion (to change). God is not interested in conflict or dissension, but He is interested in a DIALOGUE. He wants to talk, to “have a conversation with us.” He wants to help us through the process. He wants a commitment, and He wants our LOVE. John 10:27 – “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me.” Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” …Blessings…cjlb…4/23/14
