“…For the sake of brevity, I’ll leave out the moral implications to this subject …”

FEAR!  Afraid to make a decision.  Should I take this job, or the other?  Should I marry this girl, or that one?  Should I ask for a raise, or look for a new job?  We A-L-L, at some point, if not often, have to make tough decisions.  Sometimes we over-complicate easy decisions…making them un-necessarily harder; and worse, we sometimes take hard decisions too lightly, applying little to no thought as to the outcome, or consequences.  For the sake of brevity, I’ll leave out the moral implications to this subject – assuming everyone as having good morals.  While I don’t mean to minimize the fear involved in making “hard-decisions;” rather, I am suggesting that there is a connection between depression and fear.  A person who has a history of depression, is more likely to be “fearful” of making tough decisions. A person who is “not easily” prone to depression, would not be as fearful of making the tough decision.  That said, if one could overcome depression, then they would more likely have eliminated their inclination to fear.  I base all of this on my own abilities to handle depression, thus so….fear.  I am very rarely depressed, and likewise… fear very little.  Sure, I’d be fearful of encountering a bear, tiger, hippo, or an alligator – but I handle these fears by NEVER placing myself in the pathway of either.  Here, I’m talking about the day-to-day fears of the average person. The bottom line: Love and Faith Conquers all.  Deuteronomy 31:6 tells us to: Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”  2 Timothy 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.  Blessings…cjlb…3/3/14
