To Back-Up…or Move Forward: There are some business Leaders who advocate, always, to having a “back-up” plan. I don’t necessarily disagree, as you likely suspect, with that line of thought. But… to better describe what I do advocate, let me just say this: I’ll come up with a plan of action (POA), and I pretty much “stick-with-the-plan,” until it’s proven that it simply will not work. It is “very seldom” that my basic plan does not work.
And, True… I may have to massage the basic idea…. Over… and over again… until I can ‘get it to work…as originally intended. That could be construed as having a back-up plan… I prefer to call it an “expanded-version” of Plan-A. In fact, I’ll massage the heck out of it, still though, without abandoning the ‘basic plan.’ In other words, I do whatever is necessary to make the original POA work. If, however, I don’t see reliable progress, and relatively soon; I’ll abandon the project, giving it, and circumstances… a time to rest. And, later, I’ll return to ‘fight it out.’
These POA’s, all, consist of “human-elements,” and human instincts at work. And, unfortunately…satan is likely in the details. God, on the other hand… does not change. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. When God made each of us, He conceived our POA (or in God’s case…our DNA), designed just for you, and just for me, and … He does not vary from His Plan-A.
We are reminded in Psalms 32:7-8 – You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.
