“…Good Leaders may not need ‘Sight’ to be successful Leaders, but they will need ‘Vision’…”

SIGHT vs. VISION…Sight is something that most of us take for granted…the ability to see things. We can see yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Some see “things” as they are, others see the same “thing” as they want it to be. Which brings us to the idea of VISION.

VISION, on the other hand goes beyond what we actually see, and focuses, rather, or transfigures “it” it into “a dream realized,” or the “fulfilled desire,” or what most would think as accomplishing “an impossible” goal. VISION would be “seeing something” that others don’t see… or INVISION. There would be others who might refer to it as…foresight. Having the ability to see through the trees of nature… and see a residential subdivision, or a shopping center.

Good Leaders may not need sight to be successful Leaders, but they will need Vision…or foresight.   A good leader will be able to “in-vision” the future of a project, or even, the entire company….weeks, months, and even years in advance. Wouldn’t you think that Steve Jobs had VISION… and certainly foresight?  And, would not Bill Gates be thought of as a “visionary?”

There is a spiritual aspect of VISION, such as; seeing God through darkness, or through the actions of others, if not our own actions. Or, possibly, seeing God in the form of a VISION. “Spiritual Vision” may allow us to “see God” in others… or in the form of NATURE… or someone’s “good works.” Vision may also allow us to see through “invisible elements,” such as, love, respect, humility, tolerance, grace, and RESPECT.

Because God made us in His own likeness… it should be “no surprise” that we should have “spiritual vision.” A good example of “spiritual vision” would be FAITH… believing something(s) that we cannot see or hear. As believing in God, The Father, and God, The Son, and God, The Holy Spirit.

If we cannot see that God is with us and loves us, then we are “spiritually blind.” God wasn’t wasting His time on us when He created us; we actually mean something to Him, and He Loves us. As told to us in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

As we get older, our vision might become a bit impaired, so…. don’t be deceived…Spiritual Vision is found in our fellowship with God’s word and God’s people. We will be held accountable for our VISION in Christ. Be PREPARED! ….Blessings…cjlb..8/18/15.
