SPECIAL Gifts: Abilities, Skills, Knowledge, Wisdom, Joy and Love: According to scripture, each and every one of us are given “certain special gifts,” ….from God, through the Holy Spirit. Each of us are given that “ special-gift,” unique to US ONLY, something that “no-one” else has… exactly one like it. It would be much like a finger print, which separates each of us from the other. 1 Peter 4:10 – “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another.”
These special gifts are varying degrees of certain skills, talents, characteristics, and certain other gifts, which likely, we will go through our entire life… never knowing what those particular “special gifts” consisted. Some of these gifts… we know exactly of what they consist… others are hidden from us by God. These gifts will be put to use on God’s time frame.
For sure… the gift of “intellect, or wisdom” would certainly be measureable by our peers, such so, that they might become useful tools by our employer, such that would enhance our career path. These, gifts then become “part and parcel,” of what we have to OFFER to our employer, our friends, our peers, and even church associates. And, FOREMOST, we should offer our “successes” back to God; giving Him the Honor and Glory, as without Him… we have no skills, intellect, or wisdom…. Without Him…. We have NOTHING.
Matthew 17:20 – “If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible unto you.”
So there you have it; Having FAITH in your God-Given ability, and talents, is one thing, but to withhold it, using it for your very own, is counter-productive; especially after receiving the corresponding success associated with God’s Blessings. God helps us to achieve those successes, but likewise, demands that we share our success with others, giving them the same opportunities that we enjoy. It is NEVER too late to give back, through others, what God has bestowed on us.
