“…He works with his hands, but his hands are an extension of his BRAIN, which is an extension of his HEART….”

I have a new friend, of about two years, who is a “master craftsman.” Billy can build anything; prices it fairly; is good at giving advice to others; a good family man and  friend; an encourager; a giver; funny; neat and clean; he’s wise, well educated and well spoken…. just a good Christian gentleman.  He works with his hands, but his hands are an extension of his BRAIN, which is an extension of his HEART.  I wish that I were more like BillyYou’ve probably seen the email floating around on the WWW about the guy who can paint elaborate pictures on the head of a straight pin.  He, too, is quite a craftsman.  Then there’s the guy who can take a panoramic view of the city of Rome, and then immediately draw a mural depicting every single feature in complete and accurate detail.  He, too, is quite a craftsman.  I guess you could say the Bill Gates and Steve Jobs would fall into that category, as well.  Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era, and should not be left out. Then you have Andrea Bocelli, an Italian tenor and singer-songwriter who was born with poor eyesight, and became completely blind at the age of twelve following a football accident, and whom we all love to listen…surely he belongs in this elite category. And, we have child prodigies, who are so crafty that it makes one wonder who doesn’t have talent. And how about the infamous Amy Purdy; an Olympian snowboarder, Actress, Speaker, double amputee athlete, and most recently she spellbound the nation with her performance on “Dancing with the Stars,” coming in 2nd place (should have been first)…W-O-W…a Super-Woman, a DWS judge said of her.   She too, a craftsman…of course. My point is…all of us have talents…some hidden, some open for view, but they’re there, just waiting to be organized, perfected, and utilizied. We ALL have these “crafts” because we were Created by the Master Craftsman Himself…Our Lord God, Jesus Christ; who made us in His own Image. For it says in Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.” God has given each of us unique abilities, talents, spiritual gifts, personality, and life’s experiences, when combined makes us exactly who we are; uniquely different. These crafts, skills and talents are NOT ours alone, not so much for our self-gain, but for the benefit of other of God’s children. ….Blessings…cjlb…9/15/14
