Is just being FAIR enough? Many of us… sometimes …just need more than what reason and fairness dictate. For me? I’ve tried to be FAIR all of my adult life, and seemingly, I have succeeded I’ve even gone beyond what is considered as fair, and I’m pretty much recognized as having that trait.
I’m not alone, though, as most people are FAIR in their dealings with others. But… what I’ve come to realize… just recently…is that “just being FAIR,” is, too often, just not enough. We journey through life… by-passing opportunities…to do the right thing, but have allowed our greed, or self-love, to get in the way, and I am first among the GILTY.
There are many who simply NEED more than what is, generally considered…as fair and reasonable, and our responsibility is to fulfill that need. Job 22:23-26 – If you return to the Almighty you will be built up; if you remove injustice far from your tents, if you lay gold in the dust, and gold of Ophir among the stones of the torrent-bed, then the Almighty will be your gold and your precious silver. For then you will delight yourself in the Almighty and lift up your face to God.
Here’s a good example of my point. If you enjoyed a good meal at your local restaurant… and received “good food and excellent service” and…. even left a “fair tip,” …would that be considered enough? How about if you add to that tip, an inexpensive but… broad smile, and generous “Thank You?” This would be an “added blessings” to your good service. Get my point?
…Blessings…cjlb…5/3/16.
