“… I find that if I don’t schedule specific time frames which are set aside as God-Time, then God gets left out…”

The PRIORITY FACTOR:  If one is channeling their energy, time, and skills ...towards Anger… Hate… Depression…Vengeance… and other forms of FOLLY …then, they are not pursuing those opportunities which would be considered viable for a planned, orderly, and goal-centered career… or those other life pursuits; that are just lurking around waiting for our attention.  Learn to set priorities.

Every several evenings… I review… and EDIT my weekly “to-do-list.”  For each given day, I prioritize in order of importance… exactly what it is that I want “to-do” that particular day. I run it out for a week, or ten days, adding further in advance the very important details, i.e. a doctor appointment, such that would be hard to reschedule to one’s satisfaction.  Frankly, there are probably some 150 items that are on that list, and YES, some several months old.  They would consist of things I want to do, but are not of great concern.  An example would be, that I want to take guitar lessons.  That item seems to keep getting pushed back again, and again.  I’m interested in taking them, but not quite inclined… just yet.

Included on this list are all issues I’m involved in business, exercise ritual, social, play-time (what’s that?), family matters, church, and spiritual considerations.  I have specific times set aside for exercise and prayer time.  I find that if I don’t schedule specific time frames which are set aside as …God-Time… then God gets left out.

I’m sure we all have good intentions…but exercise and prayer times are just as easily thought of as “we’ll do it later,” and then…  we NEVER  get around to doing it.  So I schedule it.

My priority list might be a method by which one could allocate their time, resources, energy, gifts …and knowledge of God which we’ve all been blessed, but should not be used to gain influence, make money, or fuel pride but instead… all for the glory of God.  The life of Jesus was a perfect picture of loving God with His whole heart, soul, and strength …always putting His Father first.  While human kind, will find this to be IMPOSSIBLE… never the less, it is God’s Commandment for us to try.

We are told, clearly in Matthew 22:37 –  In Jesus’s own words … And he said to him,  “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”

Also, in Psalms 1:1-6Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Putting God FIRST is not a “suggestion… or CHOICE”…rather, it is a COMMANDMENT.
