“…I focus on helping the person, rather than hurting them….”

"The IRS is "killing me."

“The IRS is “killing me.”

What is the biggest problem you face today?  This is not a trick question.  Is it career?  Is it money?  Marriage?  A difficult child?  Embezzlement?  Not enough hours in the day? Cheating on a test?  Lying on an employment application?  Working long hours, with no extra pay?  Time in jail?  Terminal illness?  All of these seem pretty serious ….right?  AND, they are.  Let’s take one at a time.  Money issues are, often, the easiest to deal with.  A temporary job; your spouse going to work, or maybe asking for a raise.
Marriage is almost always repairable, if there is still LOVE between you…see a counselor.  A difficult child, usually takes care of itself, given a little time, and a lot of LOVE and respect.  Embezzlement is a difficult issue, but from experience, I can say, I’ve dealt with it several times with employees and have found that sometimes people do crazy things while under pressure.  I focus on helping the person, rather than hurting them.  There’s only 24 hours in a day, and if you need more, then you best make more efficient  use of the time you have…as, He only made 24.  Cheating on a test is not good, but if you’ve reconciled you’ve done something wrong, than don’t take the job, or admit it, and take the consequences.  Same applies to employment issues. Generally long hours, with no extra pay, don’t last that long…grin and bear it.  Jail time?  Oops…can’t help you there.  Terminal illness… is what it is.  Eventually, all illnesses are terminal. Sooner, or later, we gotta go.  Often times, though, one can have some quality of life, such that, it makes the end more bearable.  Throughout all of these issues…. Is the God issue.  Where does He fit into our problems?  He fits anywhere, anytime.  He’s ready, willing, and able.  With God, there’s always a PLAN…always.  His door is always open, and His invitation is always there.  I’m not making light of any of these terrible issues, but God has a way of making our load…lighterMatthew 11:28-30 –  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Blessings…cjlb…2/27/14
