If your career is RE-fined by adversity, then you are progressing. We are told in James 1:2-4 – Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
If your career is “DE-fined” by adversity, then you have a bigger problem. Seek someone out that you trust for their help in converting adversity to a positive rather than a negative. If we want to be more Christ like, then … we can wear adversity like an armor. Solomon reminds us in Psalms 50:15 – Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me.”
I have dealt with ADVERSITY all of my life. I know, it sounds crazy, but… To me it’s been a blessings. To look at my circumstances, and to KNOW me, one would question this statement. My DEMONS are from within. I won’t take you down that road today…but one day maybe. For now, let me just say …God is my PROTECTOR… and Jesus is my armor.
Ephesians 6:10-18 – Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.
James 1:12-15 – Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”… for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.
Thank you Lord God, Jesus Christ for loving me…protecting me, and saving me.
