“…If I could, I would have a “change of clothing” for every day of the year…”

To some…ACCLIMATION is not an option.  We all should learn how to acclimate.  Typically, we start the process of ACCLIMATION when we leave home, or get married.  Then, throughout life… we have to go through the process of Acclimation.  Every turn in life is a form of Acclimation…..but we just don’t want to admit it…because…it’s losing CONTROL.  And the average guy… just doesn’t want to lose CONTROL.

Acclimation is just another DECISION that we must make in life….  It’s not that hard. But for some, well… it’s like pulling teeth.  For others…like me…I IMBRACE it.  Oops…what did I just say?  My family, all, would disagree.  They all think that I am un-bendable…well, dag-gone-it…they’re WRONG!  I’m the “master-of-change.”

If I could, I would have a “change of clothing” for every day of the year.  I’m just dramatizing my point!

Are we listening? Are we comprehending? Are we OBEYING?

Are we listening? Are we comprehending? Are we OBEYING?

I like new direction, new ideas, new impressions, new opportunity, and new friends, too.  NEW is an opportunity to IMPROVE on the OLD.  That is, accept…AGE.  That’s another issue.  Adapting to a new climate…like sunny Florida, or a new place…like Italy, or a new Situation…like a new job; all of that is FUN, awakening, and healthy.  Our children have to ACCLIMAGE to new schools, new teachers, and new classmates.  Often, we MUST acclimate to new jobs, new bosses, and new co-workers.

One of the hardest issues of Acclimation is accepting someone else’s “point-of-view,” especially when it is in CONFLICT with our own.  We find these adaptations more profoundly in areas of “politics and religion.”  Our current state of affairs, all around the world, attest to the un-willingness to accept, modify, adapt, and ACCLIMATE.

We are told throughout the Bible, where God “has changed someone’s name.”  Now that would be a real ACCLIMATION.  Abram went to Abraham, and Sarai to Sarah, and Jacob to Israel; just to name a few.  Isaiah 62:2The nations shall see your righteousness, and all the kings your glory, and you shall be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will give.

For our own salvation, we must ACCLIMATE our mind (repent) and agree that the “way of God” is better than our own.  Through Spiritual maturity we allow the Holy Spirit to change us as it is written in Romans 12:2“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed [changed] by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
