Which is appropriate…. the level of my success or the level of my failure? Either is appropriate; the better question is: For which do you want to be recognized? Is a glass half full, or half empty? Confusing….not for me; From a business perspective…I’d rather be known for, or measured by…my level of success.
Think about it this way: If the glass is the measuring tool, and its 2/3’s empty; would that mean you are 67% failure, or a 33% success? If the 1/3rd represented liquid gold; then I’d rather have the distinction of having acquired 1/3rd glass of liquid gold, than 2/3rd’s glass of air.
I once had an employer who gave me ¼ interest in his company; as a reward for doing a job far better than expected…but because of the unique relationship that we had, I felt like, and acted as if, I owned 100%. But in reality, I owned 25% of nothing, but that’s another story.
When it gets right down to the bottom line; be yourself, carry yourself like you’re somebody great, aim higher than ever, never take no for an answer, and remember WHO it is that we ultimately SERVE, and you will become somebody of consequence; and the odds are that it will be a full-glass.
Colossians 3:23-24 – And whatsoever ye do, do [it] heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. …Blessings…cjlb…5/4/16
