FOOT-PLACEMENT: The importance of foot placement. Be careful where you place your foot. You might be placing your foot in something that will be hard to overcome. Do you allow your “feet to follow” the path that your career…or society… demands place on you? Do you “follow the leader?” Are you part of the team?
Oops… what if the Leader doesn’t walk a straight line? Then what? What if you’re following someone who is simply up to “no-good?” There are times, you know… when the “so-called” leader is, or can be, miss-guided; in fact…. He could even be full of the devil… you know…up to ‘no-good.’ He could be taking the company down the primrose path, and taking you with it…. Because you weren’t paying attention to where you were “placing your foot” …maybe even…giving the devil a ‘foot-hold.’
Foot placement is important! I have the mid-stages of peripheral neuropathy (losing feeling in your legs and feet); and I have to pay close attention to “foot placement,” or else I’ll take a tumble. The biggest disadvantage of PN… is you’re, too often… out of balance….placing your foot…where they shouldn’t go. Sometimes in the process of building our careers, we miss-step, and “take a tumble.” If we’re really alert, and place our ethics, values, and morals… in proper order, then we can… usually, recover from the tumble….at least…from a career perspective.
But, on the other hand, if you “miss-step” with your relationship with God… Remember this: God is a forgiving God. He is the God of 2nd chances. 2 Samuel 12:13 – David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die. 2 Samuel 12:24-25 – Then David comforted his wife, Bathsheba, and went in to her and lay with her, and she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. And the Lord loved him and sent a message by Nathan the prophet. So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the Lord.
But remember this, also… The Lord, Thy God…will not be MOCKED. We are told in… Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. So…. Less we “put our FOOT in our mouth” …we best be careful where we place of foot.
