In Corporate America… there doesn’t seem to be much room for God… these days, much less the Ten Commandments. God was ‘voted out’ of the Board Rooms of America… years ago. He didn’t like it then, and He still doesn’t like it. Remember, in Romans 12:19 – Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
As for the Ten Commandments….The first three commandments are about loving God, and the last seven are about loving your neighbor. For anyone…claiming to be a Leader of Man….then, he first must Love God, and then his Neighbor. Falling short of this; than the claimant is NOT a leader, but a pretender. It can’t get any plainer than this….That’s the LAW of God, both in the Old and New Testament.
So, if you’re working for a company, or a boss…who does not profess to believe in the Ten Commandments, then… you are flirting with satan. It’s as simple as that. This doesn’t mean, of course, that you immediately ‘jump ship,’…of course not. But, it does mean that you should be on ‘the alert’ to a very bumpy ride…and keeping your eyes out for a more suitable opportunity.
I’m a bit of an authority on this subject, as I have had ‘no trouble’ with the first three…loving God. I LOVE loving God. But, I confess… I’ve had a lot of trouble with loving my neighbor(s). Just ask them. I mean, for now… I’m just learning how to ‘like them.’ It all started with my having TROUBLE with the idea of ‘loving myself’….which comes first, after God. I find it HARD to love me. Period. But, the good news is … I’m learning.
This scenario does not give me anymore ‘wiggle room’ than it does you. I’m not trying to ‘justify’ my position…. Rather, I’m admitting that I’m a WIP (work in process). And, I might add, if it were not for my commitment to LEARN… by my daily reading of the Bible, then I would not be at the ‘like stage.’
Before I became committed to the Bible… I didn’t give a ‘rip’ about loving anyone (outside of my wife/children/family)…much less my neighbor (meaning all of God’s children). So… I am making progress. Pray for me. Our problems, and life issues… do not change what the bible says…. Love God above all else. Love your neighbor as yourself.
Let me conclude this posting by saying this: The BIBLE is the very best, absolutely, the very best… Hand Book (set of directions) available for life’s journey… be it…personal, family, social, or business. overlook the opportunity to get CLOSER to God.
