“Charley…are you ready?” Says my wife….”Yes, I am,” says me.
This is the story of my life for the past, well nearly…57 years of marital bless. So, yes I am ready… I’m always ready. I can be ready at a moment’s notice. It makes no difference where I am, or what the circumstance….I am always “on ready.”
Give me 30 minutes, and I’ve said my prayers, had my shower, heated my tea, and sitting in my car…ready to go. No one…absolutely no one…ever waits on me. Over the years, I’ve trained myself to “be ready.” Particularly in a business setting….being ready is always paramount. When my bride says…”Let’s go to Charleytown for the weekend….” In 30 minutes, I can be in the car… suitcase packed, and ready to go.
If you’re not on time and adequately prepared, then “you’re NOT ready.” I carry my “readiness” with me at all times. I’m NEVER late, I’m always prepared, and… I always get the job done. That’s all part of my DNA. If you are “not ready,” then you’re going “NO-WHERE” fast; and deservingly so.
Even God has “not shared” with us the “appointed time.” If we’re not ready for God, then we’re going to be left behind. God tells us to “always be ready.” As we’re told in Proverbs 6:6-8 – Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest.
We all have a choice…we can choose to “be ready, and on time,” or we can choose the “other side.” …Blessings…cjlb ….5/9/16
