Have you ever been fired? Fallen from grace? Man, it’s got my name written all over it. I was fired, or laid off, about five times….As a TV Cameraman, as a Sales Clerk; as a Lab Technician; as VP & Corporate Controller; and VP & Corporate Administrator. I’ve tasted DEFEAT plenty of times, but NEVER failure. There’s a distinct difference. One measurement of character is how one handles defeat, because, if you run out the back door, with you tail between your legs, then you have failed. If you walk out the front door, with a smile on your face, then it’s just another loss. When I was fired as a TV Cameraman, I had a friend call a major stockholder and got my job back. As a Sales Clerk, I went and got a shoe shine, a haircut, lunch, and found a better job the next day. As VP & Controller, I took the $25K severance pay, and launched a career in real estate that was the basis of a major career change. As VP & Corporate Administrator; I went back into my own business and doubled my efforts, and my income the first year. I turned all DEFEATS into VICTORIES. Joshua 7:1-2 And the LORD said to Joshua, “Do not fear or be dismayed; take all the fighting men with you, and arise, go up to Ai; see, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, his city, and his land; and you shall do to Ai and its king as you did to Jericho and its king; only its spoil and its cattle you shall take as booty for yourselves; lay an ambush against the city, behind it.” …Blessings…cjlb…11/2/13.
NOTICE: I don’t think that we have conquered our “transmission problem” on this website, but I believe we have improved it. It is my intention to send out a “daily posting” as long as I am able to. If you don’t get it (I’m not talking about reading it…that’s you’re call), then please let me know. Thank you for your “support and encouragement.” ….Blessings…cjlb…11/2/13
