“… LOVE gives the successful man an ‘edge’ over those who are not so successful…”

Bright Idea - 11-17-14There are some, if not many, who are “very-good” at what they do.  And… there are many, too, who are “very-successful,” and others who are profoundly successful… making THOUSANDS, upon MILLIONS of dollars. Some might raise the question…why… what’s the difference? The noticeable difference in those tasting success in moderation, and those others who are successful beyond reason…. Is, to me, simply stated….LOVE.

Love is the ingredient; love is the difference…. LOVE gives the successful man an “edge” over those who are not so successful. We’ve heard people say…. “I LOVE my job.” I love what I do. I love where I live. I love my co-workers, my peers, my friends. This type of approach to your career gives you the “extra push” to get ahead in life; to make your MARK. Respect is a form of LOVE, and when one respects his neighbor, then he’s taking “his career” very serious…. More serious perhaps than the less successful.

How does one measure SUCCESS?   Well, the way society seems to measure it, is by how much “money” you make, combined with your “popularity.” Fortunately, some of us are measured by “how we treat others.” I once read that you can “judge” a man, by how he treats his “mother-in-law.” I treated my MIL “very well,” but she’s been gone “to Glory” for some 45 years; so measure me by how I treat my “bride,” or other people, in general. Someone else… not me, will have to take that measurement; as I will be, obviously, very bias. My own family might be a “tad-bit” bias, as they should, so let’s leave it to “the others.”

When a man “shows his love,” for his JOB, his FAMILY, his FRIENDS, and for sure….God; then he should be considered “very successful.” A man of this type (and, of course, WOMEN, too) likely will be successful in terms of “assets.” To further one’s SUCCESS; he will likely be JUDGED, or measured, by “what he does with his success.” Does he hide it; keep it in a safe place; re-invest it; or bury it in the back yard?

The Bible tells us that we had better be good if we want good rulers (leaders), and if we want God to bless us.  God will trust you with His wealth if you are trustworthy and obedient to his laws.  He says that by being faithful over a little, that He will give you more–even a kingdom.

Luke 16:10-12 says that: Anyone who can be trusted in little matters can also be trusted in important matters. But anyone who is dishonest in little matters will be dishonest in important matters. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Since we are Stewards of God’s money (wealth), we must invest our money in way that God instructs us.  If your investment counslor disobeyed you, you’d fire him.  Therefore, if you disobey God’s instructions; God will no longer “allow you” to be the caretaker of His wealth.  Seek knowledge from God through the Bible.  Fools refuse to be instructed, and will be destroyed for failing to seeks God’s word.  Seek wisdom first, then all other things are added.  Seek the God’s Kingdom first, and all will be added to you.  Godly wisdom leads to wealth.  Seek out the council of wise men.

James 1:5 says that if any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and expects us to ask Him.  We should WORK hard, tend our flocks (our business) and be diligent.  We must pay attention to our investments, and take care to know the state of the companies in which we invest. (Be not deceived.) We are told in Galatians 6:7 – You cannot fool God, so don’t make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant.

Are we “taking care” of God’s money? Are we “wisely investing” in God’s WORK? Do we LOVE what we do, and do we LOVE our neighbor, as ourselves? …Blessings…cjlb….5/2/15
