DISSENSION: Dissension within the ranks. Healthy disagreement is a preamble for success. I believe there to be all kinds, and different types and degrees…. of dissension. For an example: simple dispute vs infighting; or simple friction vs conflict; and a little discord vs strife.
Sometimes, companies, even… major corporations… will literally fail from implosion, due to serious infighting; especially among senior management. Then, too, there are circumstances where outsiders come in to consult, assist, and re-direct the company from within. When, then, strife develops… between management and the outside consultants… the management will always win the argument, but lose the battle. The typical reason is they, the management… don’t want to change their ways; yet…they pay for the advice, but don’t want to take it… or act on the consultant’s advice.
This entire scenario is not too unlike following God’s advice. For some… God is considered the Outsider…… standing at the door, trying to help….but, because we’re not willing to SURRENDER to CHANGE… we stare at failure.
Surrendering to change… is the process of confessing our sins… to repent… or to be remorseful, and conversion (to change). God is not interested in conflict or dissension, but He is interested in a DIALOGUE. He wants to talk… to “have a conversation with us.” He wants to help us through the process. He wants a commitment, and He wants our LOVE.
He tells us… through …John 10:27 – “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me.” And in …Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Thus says the Lord. …Blessings…cjlb…1/7/2017
