“…Most would disagree with me, but I would even throw in Tiger Woods….”

Which characteristic would most like to have…Foresight, or Visionary?  In having foresight… we would be adapt at providing carefully for our future, or that of others.  As a visionary… we would have an unusual keenness of foresight.  It would seem, then, that the person with visionary capabilities would be the “master” of those with foresight.  To have great foresight, might be the person on had a vision of starting a university, and was able to move that vision forward to fruition.  The person with visionary skills, might be more possible…heavenly inspired.  Even to the point of being able to see clearly the future of his ideas and vision.  Some might suggest that Steve Jobs was such an individual, and, I might very well agree.  He had skills and ideas that come about very rarely; and was able to see those “visions” come to reality before his premature passing.  A person with “foresight” might be more of the caliber of you and me.  More grounded….but certainly one with un-usual skill-sets.  I might flirt with that idea, but only in passing.  Henry Ford, John D. Rockefeller, Thomas Edison, Jonas Salk, and Andrew Carnegie….the king of steel…. Would certainly qualify as “visionaries.”  And, surely Sam Walton of Walmart; and maybe even John F. Kennedy and Abraham Lincoln.  Most would disagree with me, but I would even throw in Tiger Woods.  People with FORESIGHT are a dime a dozen, whereas Visionaries, from my perspective, come along just a very few each decade.  I should point out, too, that in my judgment, being a bonafide visionary does not imply that these people were visionary because of their riches, though that might have been a by-product, rather, they became so, because of a cause greater than themselves…something akin to “helping man-kind.”  From a “spiritual perspective,” we probably would have many more Visionaries to explore.  Joan of Arc might be one, as was King David, many of the biblical characters; but the Greatest Visionary was Jesus Christ, as he saw through the eyes of His Father in Heaven, Our Lord God.  Jesus should be that single most admired individual that all of mankind would want to emulate; and all men, eventually, will bow before Him. …Blessings….cjlb…8/23/14.
