“…My Dear Wife, played a very important role in the lives of our children. God Bless you, my dearest….”

Mother’s Day….a “very special day” in which to remember our own Dear Mother’s, and also, the Mother of our Children. I don’t know about you, but it’s so easy to take those “special ladies,” for granted. They don’t deserve it such poor treatment. We men, well most of us, anyway, well, maybe a few of us…or is it just me…. that doesn’t show enough appreciation for the roles that Mom’s play in the lives of their husband, children, and even grandchildren. In my own case, my wife was the “stand-in” Dad. Were it not for her, my boys would not know much about baseball, swimming, and other sports; because it was their Mother that took them, and played with them, mostly….while I, their father was working all day, and going to school half the night. My Dear Wife, played a very important role in the lives of our children. God Bless you, my dearest. Now with all of our children grown, and on their own… we have grandchildren to bless us, but we don’t get to see them enough. So, with that said….my bride and I, well….we have to focus more on ourselves…in pleasing each other, and caring for one-another. Ephesians: 5:28-33 says – “Love your wife in the same manner you love your body and life.” You care for your body daily to be as well fed and healthy as possible. You quickly take care of any needs or desires of your own, and the same courtesy should be extended to your wife. We should feel our wife’s pain and illness, and carry for her every need; and rejoice in her health as if it were our own life. Basically, her financial, physical, emotional or spiritual need must receive your un-wavering support. ….Blessings….cjlb…5/11/14
