“….Opened eyes can be a DISTRACTION…”

P1000392 (2) Charles Brooks 1-16-2011DISTRACTED?  Have you ever tried praying with your eyes open, and find concentration difficult?  I do, almost every time I pray, except at night, when typically, I have my eyes closed. Try praying while driving; which I find to be very common.  It’s also impossible!  Either your driving dangerously or you’re praying without purpose.  Either way, you’ve lost concentration…you’re DISTRACTED.  This is a commonly encountered condition, DISTRACTION, which emerges at home, play, work, Church, and socially.  At my age, I find drifting off to sleep comfortably common, and falling asleep during Church (I reluctantly admit)  is some of the best sleep one can encounter.  A reality distraction would be helpful under those conditions.  Life’s distractions are common, but also something that we should diligently try to eliminate, or control.  1 Corinthians 7:35: I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord. …Blessings…cjlb..8/30/13
