Every now and again, we probably all…. Feel like ESCAPING. Some, from the realities of life, others who are into a “bad situation,” and can’t seem to make a “course correction.” Some are in “work situations” where they are going fast down a DEAD-END career, and can’t get out of Dodge fast enough. Or working on a “project” that seems destined for FAILURE and they don’t want to be part of the “fall-out” process. And, worse… there are those who are involved in “troubled-marriages,” that represent unsurmountable problems.
During the time-frame of the last decade, where there are thousands of military personnel who would “love to escape” from their ASSIGNMENT… and just be HOME with their families. Plus, those who came home wounded and maimed, would like “to escape” their future life styles. And, the list could go on and on…
We’ve probably not thought of this ESCAPE situation, but when God created us in His Image, He “in-bred” in us a factor that we CANNOT ESCAPE. We cannot escape the “heart of Jesus.” There is not a single MOVE, transaction, or situation… that Christ is not AWARE. He has an INFLUENCE on us… that we cannot ESCAPE from… in the normal sense of the word. Sure… we can escape, but it has to be ABSOLUTE and INTENTIONA; because the “price is high.”
The Holy Trinity gives us all the “where-with-all” to DO THE RIGHT THING; every time… all the time. We cannot ESCAPE the INFLUENCE of JESUS. He is there at every turn, giving us the “credentials” to do GOOD, to do what is right, what is moral, and what is ethical. But, because of “free-will,” to do good, or to do evil…we, to often, join forces with satan… and abandon God. We CHOSE to IGNORE the INFLUENCE of Our Lord God, Jesus Christ.
WE all have that “inner-being;” known as the Holy Spirit… influencing our every moment…. REMINDING us of right and wrong…. Cautioning us; and even WARNING us… never ceasing to be PRESENT. But we choose to IGNORE. Sin is a CONCIOUS decision… something we do on purpose. And, we will be FORGIVEN, by the Crucifixion, by we do not ESCAPE judgment.
We are RESPONSIBLE for our own ACTIONS. James 5:16 – Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. Ecclesiastes 11:9 – Rejoice, young man, during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of young manhood. And follow the impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes, yet know that God will bring you to judgment for all these things. Matthew 12:36 – “But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the Day of Judgment.”
We all should, therefore, be more AWARE of what we do; we should not try to ESCAPE from the INFLUENCE of Jesus, but RUN-TO Him for Divine Protection and Eternal Salvation.
