“…POWER… MONEY… GREED… all evil…” (those that have it…eh, of course…disagree).

Where is your place? Where do you fit in? Do you even belong? Better yet, who even wants you? These are scenarios that for some of us….we face every day. At times, we don’t realize what’s happening…it just happens… it will, suddenly…sneak up on you, and you realize… I was “left-out” of this… or that.  And, you’re left…wondering why.  There is a reason.  More often, then not… the “real reason,” has NOTHING to do with you…. personally, but either way… you’re going to be the victim.

Do you remember times back… when those around you just didn’t seem to accept you…maybe, even… snubbed you…talked about you behind your back, etc., didn’t include you in various events, or occasions? Well, they were probably just trying to figure a way to “get rid of you. As, often times… they didn’t think you’d fit in with their way of doing things. You were considered as the “odd man out.”

It could happen to you, me… or anyone.   In fact… it has happened to me. So, I assure you… I know a bit of what I’m talking about. It’s been my experience that there are those who “feel threatened” by the NEW GUY, and do all they can to “do them in.” They think their job is in jeopardy; and feel that you are a threat their future. And, the fact is, you may; hence… the problem.

If you’re, both…the new employee…and the “new Boss,” … and you recognized certain weaknesses in the organization, and those responsible for those weaknesses, then you would go about the task of “fix’in-it.” So, the treat that they fear is likely genuine … just don’t realize it, because you’re the Boss… and always… the last to find out.

My Advice: The new Boss should be, or better be… AWARE…as to who is for, and against him. There are many ways of getting rid of a new Boss; the current trend being… Sexual Harassment (real or not)…then union problems, etc. The bible tells us in Ephesians 5:4 – Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. And, then… in James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

If you think that the weakest link in the employee-chain… lacks power… then, think again. That “weak link” might just be the golf partner of the Chairman of the Board, or his fishing buddy… or “son-in-law.” Or, even… his girl-friend.   POWER… MONEY… GREED…  for the most part…pure evil.

Think about it. You NEVER know who is waiting on the sidelines… loaded with “bad-intentions”… knife drawn …and it has your name written on the tip.   If you, being the “new-guy”… ever have that “uneasy-feeling,” about certain employees… certain situations, or events… then, my friend… there is a reason for it. And, you BEST find out what it is.
