Love and Trust. Remember how your kids used to treat you? As a Father, you enjoyed their complete trust, admiration, and adoration. You were the smartest, coolest Dad, and best of all the rest. It’s even more cool… when they “still treat you” with that same level of love and trust as adults children. What would it be like if the world worked that way? How would our international relationships work, today, displaying such trust of your fellowman? What kind of progress could we really be making in the numerous humanitarian efforts? Think of the Bi$$ions of dollars being squandered in foreign countries where our foreign-aid goes to the strong-man governments instead of their needy people.
Think of all the bloodshed around the world, like Syria, where the Government is killing its own. Or, like in China, where body parts are harvested for profit. Or more currently, and just as deadly… the Terrorist situation.
Problem: Mankind…world-wide… seemingly, displaces basic compassion, with double doses of greed and hate.
Solution? Love. LOVE is the most important of God’s Commandments.
Probability? Zero… until, and unless, we invite God back into our homes, hearts, and our Board-rooms. Psalm 118:9 – It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
The Greatest Act of Love: Romans 5:6-11 – You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 8:38-39 – For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
