Building better relationships: All too often…and unfortunately, our Leaders, over time, have had an “un-due” influence over their followers. In that… too often, the followers see the Leaders trudging through the maze of career building obstacles… and on the way, they “step on anyone, anytime, anywhere” and do not worry about “relationships” on the way. Their main thrust is “getting the job done,” at all costs. They were hired to win!
So, the follower….who does what he’s trained to do….he FOLLOWS, and, in so doing…he picks up bad habits along the way. Sometimes, even… very ‘bad habits.’ Some Leaders, for reasons of their own… make up the rules… as they go….not always following protocol, or say…The Golden Rule. I know that I was exposed to the worst kind… but fortunately, I had the Good Lord to guide me along the way. It is He that is the Ultimate…Great Leader, Teacher, and Motivator.
Developing “Better Relationships” are, in the long run… is the better way to find SUCCESS.
The point I wish to make is: Follow ‘anyone you wish,’ and if you find that you’re following an ‘evil leader,’ then it’s best to divest yourself of this evil relationship. But, if that is not so easily accomplished… then, instead… LEARN from him. Learn… not the right way to success, but be attentive to ‘learning the WRONG way,’ so that you’re AWARE of ‘how not to achieve’ success. Achieving success, the WRONG way…at all costs, invariably will ‘back-fire.’ So, ask yourself… do you want to ‘go down’ with a temporary winner, and soon to be…LOSER? Or, by doing it ‘the RIGHT way,’ will give you SUSTAINED success. Not to mention… you’ll be doing it… God’s way, as well.
Remember: If you don’t see ‘the Image of God’ in your Leader… then dismiss him…as evil! If you get in bed with a dog…you smell like a dog.
James 1:12 tell us… Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Also… In Proverbs 16:9, we’re told…The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps. And lastly… Romans 12:8 says… The one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Another thought… Nothing I say, should suggest that there is not a ‘lot to learn’ from ‘evil leadership.’ One must exercise good judgement, and learn to utilize the ‘good traits’ and AVOID the ‘evil maneuvering’ that EVIL Leaders employ.
We are warned in…Ephesians 4:26-28… “Be angry, yet do not sin.” Do not let the sun set upon your anger, and do not give the devil a foothold. He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing good with his own hands, that he may have something to share with the one in need.…
