SHARING SUCCESS: As Leaders, we will never enjoy the thrill, or feel the “full impact” of the SUCCESS of our leadership, if we don’t share that SUCCESS with “all of the participants.” We can do this, at each level of success, or more preferably, as we go through the “on-going process;” rather than at the “end of the process”…at that point when we cross the finish line, count the votes, or cash in the chips. Ah… the “thrill of the kill.”
It’s always best to allow everyone to enjoy the complete meal… from A to Z. Include everyone… the actual day-to-day participants, the Owners, Management, Lenders, Family, Customers, and at the appropriate venue… even your children.
On the other hand…Sharing failure has very limited benefits… possibly, only, the learning experience; on the way to defeat. I would rather have success at the lowest of levels, rather than failure at any level. I would rather experience the thrill of success without the big paycheck, then losing… and having gotten paid. For me, my philosophy is….Don’t pay me for failure! I can learn that on my own dime.
We are told in Hebrews 13:16 – Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. And also, Isaiah 58:7 – Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
SHARING…. like any good deed, or stewardship, brings with it a generous return from God, as CLEARLY told to us in Luke 6:38 – “Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure– pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.” …Blessings…cjlb ….10/2/15.
