First things first. To interrupt someone… is being RUDE…. Rather speaking ‘directly to you’…or if you’re a bystander… listening in….which would be even worse. We need go no further. If one is RUDE… he already is in trouble from a Leadership perspective. I say that… because there are some who would debate that with me. They harbor the opinion that ‘being rude’ has some sort of POWER attribute. By that…. I suspect… they (whoever they are) are trying to suggest that being some sort of ‘high-muckety-muck’ type of guy… makes you PRIVIDLEDGED… such that, you can be RUDE to others… and that’s acceptable. Pooh on that!
Rudeness…. By itself … is a CHARACTER deficiency.
The reason I decided to address this subject….is, I wonder what Our Lord God, Jesus Christ… must think of us… when we are RUDE to Him. How can one be rude to Jesus? Simple…. Just by IGNORING Him. By refusing to accept Him as Our Savior and Lord. By refusing to accept that He is the Son of God, and that He died on the cross for our sins. By denying that there is a Jesus. By taking ‘prayer’ out of the classroom. By removing the Ten Commandments from various public settings. By being insensitive to His presence in places of worship, etc. By taking His Holy Name in vain. By refusing to come to the aid of our neighbor, or refusing to love others. By refusing to put Him FIRST above all other gods. By placing other idols ahead of Him. By refusing to ‘protect the unborn.’
Yes, I could go on…and on…and on. But, I know… you got my point. Rather intentionally, or un-intentionally… when we are RUDE to God… we are fanning the flames of hell. God will NOT ACCEPT second place in our hearts. Thus… the theory of CLEANSING.
Hebrews 12:1 conveys to us, clearly… “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily hinders our progress. And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.”
When we are being purged by God… it means that He wants to free us from all the sinfulness, and impurities, in our lives. He is trying to prepare us for the ‘next level.’ It would be very difficult to advance our relationship with God… if we are being ‘weighed down’ by ON-GOING sin.
Simply put… there is ‘no justification’ for RUDENESS… to anyone… least of all…. God.
