Hey man, you’re a loser. This is a terrible term, but when said to YOU, it takes on a whole new meaning. It’s a term that I’ve NEVER used in a business setting, even when one IS a loser, and may even deserve it. I would never say those words to anyone, not even the enemy. The fact are, though, the term is commonly used everyday; and unfortunately, sometimes, it’s used within the boss/employee relationship, or worse yet…at home environments. To me, however, it’s the ultimate in disrespect. So how does one overcome such a situation? Well, one could simply resign, or he could let it slide off like on a ducks back. Or, better yet, he could get serious, get busy, get re-committed, and prove himself worthy of re-evaluation. While the term is terrible, the meaning behind the term may have merit. So…to overcome the reason…get even by getting better. Prove your self-worth, your value to the team, and the cause. Prove that you’re a WINNER, not a loser.
