“…Success is a ‘demanding adventture’…”

Success can be a very expensive endeavor.  What price are you willing to pay for Success?  If you are not willing to give your employer 100%, or more; if you are not willing to be loyal, and then some; if you are not totally committed, and more; if you are not willing to go the extra mile, or two; if you are not willing to give up your lunch break or coffee break (as in…going without), and the occasional vacation… then you are, very likely…the WRONG person for the job.

Do everybody a favor and find a different job…..you know….one that you really like, or better yet….LOVE… the kind of company that wants ‘everybody’ out of the building at 5PM Sharpe… no exceptions.  For the most part… that job will be either a city, county, state, or federal job.  My apologies to my government employed friends.

Success is a ‘demanding adventure.’  It would not be without a ‘lot of risk.’  Even… too often… your marriage and family life will be compromised, if not extinguished.  Big Success will take its toll on everything important to you…except, maybe… the job that you’ve given everything up to get, and then to keep.  The real question is:  Is it really worth it?  This posting cannot answer ‘that question.’

There is another kind of success… one that is available to all of mankind.  It’s called Heaven.  Or, some may refer to it as… everlasting life.  It has all the benefits that one could ever want… forever.  Christ gave ‘it’ to us, when He died on the cross.  He wiped away every sin…as far as the east is as to the west…our sins are forgiven.   Our soul is wiped CLEAN.

The ONLY condition is:  We must believe in Him, Love Him, and believe that He died on the cross for our sins, and to turn away from future sins.  This is not much too ask for.  God is not being unreasonable in His conditions.  We don’t have to work overtime, or go without lunch breaks, or forfeit any of those events in life that are important to us… and vacation time is ours to have.

For some reason though… we humans have a ‘hard time’ believing that Christ is the Savior of the world.  We put little import on the ‘basic conditions’ that Christ has asked of us.  Keeping the Sabbath Holy is ‘just too much to ask for.’  Please… just give me a break.  Observing the Sabbath is the easiest of all the Commandments in which to obey.  There is but one commandment, which when we overcome it…will make ‘all the others easy.’

We are told inMatthew 22:34-40 – But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

This, my friends, will bring you the Truest of Successes…. Spending eternity with Our Lord God, Jesus Christ.
