What’s your story? Who even cares? Why bother? Both of my Grandfathers had died before I was born, by some 10 or so years. I have ALWAYS been proud of my heritage (another story), but beyond myself, no one else was ever interested, until my 18 year old granddaughter suddenly showed an interest. The fact is: we ALL have a story to tell. The great writers of the world; Eager Allen Poe, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, Aristotle’s, and let’s not leave out Saint Paul, the Apostle…. all, examples of the great story tellers. Heck, even I have a story I’d like to share; and, in some small way, each day, when I write for this website, I’m telling a portion of that story. But, sadly, the Greatest Story Ever Told, might be losing some of its appeal, as we worldly sinners think THE STORY need not be repeated. While some of the facts are a bit disturbing; the idea of it is a hoax. The Bible is still the #1 best seller of all time, and is still the “most read book” of all time, in all of history. In fact, the Bible exceeds the #2 best seller by more than 8 times. About 18 months ago, I joined my first Bible Study Group (led by renowned Evangelist, Adrian Despres), with about 25 other men, and let me tell you…God has intervened, and changed my life, and because of Him, I am writing to you this moment…to tell you His story. Matthew 28:19 tells us to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” I’ve heard, and read, this Bible verse many times, but for some reason, I must have felt that it was speaking to someone else….you know…the other guy. Today, I KNOW that God is speaking to ME; and now therefore, I’m speaking to you. Please don’t let this Gift that Our Lord God has given to each of us, His Eternal Love, and Life everlasting….go wasted. Blessings…cjlb…10/18/13.
