As we observe Memorial Day, it might do us well to consider how “we” might come to the aid of those serving our country in a more meaningful way. We have fewer people actually serving in the military than we’ve had in decades. Our problem, it seems, is that we don’t give the SUPPORT, or “proper respect,” to those who serve our Country, State, Counties, and Cities.
Rather it is in ‘military service,’ or as fire fighters, police, or medical people…. They All are working hard, serving us, and their country. There are many ways to SERVE these people who lay their lives on the line…. Everyday. One way… not often thought of… is to PRAY for their SAFETY.
To PRAY that they are well trained, and well payed. To PRAY that they do their jobs well and purposeful. To PRAY that they will return to their families in good health. To PRAY that God’s Blessings will follow them throughout their lives. Take a MOMENT…. Now…and PRAY for all those who serve us.
Let us also, Love, honor, and be respectful…of…not only those who serve us…with their lives, but also of “each other.”
God Bless America…Blessings….cjlb..5/25/15.
