“… There are some who shout their point of view… thinking that the louder they shout… the better their point is made…”

ARTICULATE: Dag’gone’it…. I wish that I knew something about articulation. Anyone can tell that I don’t… I think, to a degree …. I have a “way with words”…. but I wouldn’t, for a moment, claim the ability to express myself well, and in clear and certain terms…. But… I try.

For some, they resort to vulgarities to make their point (just look on LinkedIn), and even shout their point of view… thinking that the louder they shout… the better their point is made.  But to me….they’ve lost the listener, even before they started.  In order to have any skillsets in this regard, one MUST have mastered the skills of persuasion, vocalization, enunciation, and expression.   But the fact is this: If we are pursuing LEADERSHIP roles, than we MUST be able to communicate in such lucid, eloquence, and effectiveness…. In order to get our POINTS across to those who follow our leadership.  Otherwise… no one will be listening.

Personally, I think that being able to ARTICULATE your point, doesn’t mean, so much, that you “have to speak” in eloquent terms, but rather…. Being able to make your point in specifically clear terms; so that there would be no mistake… about what you wish to convey.

The Bible… can be a very PERSUASIVE source of LEADERSHIP and ARTICULATION… one which is anchored in…  Matthew 28:19, which tells us CLEARLY… “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”

John Musgrave tells us in his book ARTICULATING the GOSPEL:  “The gospel must be our focus if we are to reach men in this postmodern world. While apologetics (the discipline of defending Biblical truth through the systematic use of Scripture and logic) is a wonderful encouragement and certainly has a place in evangelism, it is a mistake to depend on apologetics… to the exclusion of the clear articulation of the gospel.”

So… we would be well served, rather it be a CAREER seminar, or the GOSPEL… to not just know “the word,” but to be able to ARTICULATE ‘the word’…in an appropriate manner… such that we would be able to share that success, or salvation… with all that seek it.

…Blessings, to all…as we seek to Articulate the Word of God…. cjlb…12/4/2017
