“…These type of people are the one’s that we all would like to be more like….. to emulate…”

"...What is the STATUS of your heart....?"

“…What is the STATUS of your heart….?”

Have you ever been around someone that is, basically…. Contagious.  No… I’m not talking about someone who is carrying a virus, or some form of contagious sickness.  I’m talking about someone who is vivacious, funny, adorable, loveable, personable, laughing, exciting, captive, inventive, enjoyable, and Contagious.  I’m talking about someone…who everyone else is “talking about.”

These type of people are the one’s that we all would like to be more like….. to emulate.  We find them everywhere.  Our children come home talking about the “new teacher,” who has all the students raving about her.  Or, the new employee who has “brought new life” into the office environment.  Even… the “new BOSS, that was brought in by senior management to “change the personality of the company.”  And, the neighbors are talking about their “new minister,” who has brought new life into a listless neighborhood church.

The “early church,” also had a fair share of people who were CONTAGIOUS… John the Baptizer, King David, Jacob…the 11th son of Jacob, and of course….Jesus Christ; who fed thousands; made the blind see, raised the dead to life; and made the lame… walk.  He also, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, Crucified, Died and was Buried, and on the “third-day,” He rose from the Dead, and 40 Days later, He Ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right-hand of God, His Father, and from thence He will Judge the Living and the Dead.

The LOVE of Jesus Christ ….well… could be the “most CONTAGIOUS” thing we might ever encounter.  God’s LOVE is Contagious: When we walk in close fellowship with Christ, God’s love flows through us to those around us.  The Holy Spirit fills us so that we can extend unconditional love to others.  Romans 5:5 – Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

God’s LOVE can be very Contagious…but only…if we make it so. We can do nothing, and by doing so, God’s LOVE stops with us. On the other hand, if we abide by Matthew 28:19 – Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Then, God’s LOVE becomes CONTAGIOUS.   When His Love enters into our heart and “co-mingles” with our own, and we pass “this LOVE” on to others…thereby making it CONTAGIOUS.

Remember too, John 3:16-17“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.…”
