An Idle Mind…Idle Thoughts: IDLE THOUGHTS is my worst fear. One might call it day-dreaming. Romans 2:28 – “A depraved mind, to do things which are not proper.” What’s the saying… an idle mind is the ‘devil’s workshop.’
Proverbs 16:27-29 – Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece. An evil man sows strife; gossip separates the best of friends. Wickedness loves company—and leads others into sin. So…unless you want to ‘get in bed with satan, ‘you best keep your mind occupied’… on Godly thoughts. This is not advice… just for those people who seek God in their lives…no, no…quite the contrary. This is ‘good advice’ for everyone… rather…. in the ‘workplace,’ in our family life, and yes…in the spiritual part of our life.
We humans can be, when we choose… very powerful… because we have free-will. We don’t have to depend on day-dreaming…we already have ‘the power’ of the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us…and, as given to us by God, because we were made in His Image.
We have the power of thought…we can think, and we can choose… and by God’s Grace…we shall; which makes us more powerful than satan. We can, and MUST us ‘this power’ to deny satan. We all have the power to destroy, or to give life. We can do this through love and compassion. Romans 12:2 – “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
As Leaders, we can help others fulfill their dreams… to taste success… to teach them how to use their gifts… and then, to share them with others.
I can’t wait to fulfill my next dream. ….Blessings…. cjlb….8/28/2017
