The “to-do-list.” We all have “to-do-lists” of one sort or another. I know that I’m continuing to up-date my list all the time….I mean all the time. 1. Make bank deposit. 2. Go by Post Office. 3. Buy batteries for golf-cart. 4. Repair mail box. 5. Take morning walk. 6. Do morning exercises. 7. Clean-out garage. 8. Re-schedule the yard guy. 9. Find a painter. 10. Find a carpenter to repair porch columns. 11. Rent a pressure washer. 12. Install a railing around upper porch. 13. Re-seal boat dock. 14. Price a new TV. 15. Survey the best lap-top value. 16. Shine all my shoes. 17. Replenish light-bulb inventory. 18. Buy gay for car. 19. Repair “slow-leak” in bathroom toilet. 20. Pick-up dry-cleaning. 21. Get car serviced. The list goes on and on….it never ends, as we mark things off when they’re completed, and add new one’s in their place. To-do-lists, like everything, have priorities attached to them. We do them in order of importance. This list… that I’ve just made up, are real things that I’m personally working on, but was made up just to serve this particular purpose. You will note…that I’ve made no provision for God on my list. You remember Him…He’s our Creator. He’s the one who made each of us distinguishable and uniquely different. So…of course, we NEED to place God on our To-do List….not just to “find a place for him,” rather….to place Him at the top of the list. We can do that by listing Him as: 1. Morning prayers, and for some…Noon prayers, and for many, Evening prayers. And, if it’s a day that we should be going (or elect) to Church, then that too would be listed……1. Church. You may be thinking that you have God at the top of your To-do-List; and I hope you do, but my purpose….today… is to remind each of us… just how important it is to “include God,” as all too often, we exclude Him from our daily routines. Think about it. I KNOW that I am. Colossians 3:1-4 – If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. …Blessings…cjlb…8/18/14.
