“…To JUDGE is to TRAIN, to DEMAND, to COUNSEL, to STRENGTHEN, and to LOVE….”

"Judge a man by his question, not his answer."

“Judge a man by his ability to LOVE others.”

Don’t judge people….I recently read where a respected business consultant said that judging people is “not done” by successful leaders.  For me…I say, that’s B-U-L-L!!  I can’t help but judge people.  And, I KNOW that I am judged, and have always been judged.  I look upon myself as half-way successful (I know…a bit of pride), and maybe I would have been considerably more successful, if I had “not judged.”  I admit it…I’m a judger.  I judge others.  Guilty as charged.  But why?  If you don’t judge people, things, events, products, or results… then, as a leader, you are limiting your ability to lead.  How do you cull people out?  How do you measure the results?  How do you promote, or terminate; or determine who to VOTE for?  How, or why, can you compliment, or criticize?  How do determine who you would want to marry, or love?  People who say they don’t judge are….eh…are, I believe, not truthful.  Even God judges.  Now…. of course, I don’t get into judging some things; or should I say…I try not to.   Even, some churches refuse to allow some into their membership….how, unless they judge?  But, here is what I do in my judgment others:  I do it with a kind heart, for their own good, and therefore my own.  I try to make it a learning experience; one that will challenge their abilities, their commitment, and their resolve.  To JUDGE is to TRAIN, to DEMAND, to COUNSEL, to STRENGTHEN, and to LOVE.  That’s the way I do it and that’s why I do it. …how about you?  Leviticus 19:15 – “‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.  Jeremiah 22:3 – This is what the LORD says:  “Do what is just and right.  Rescue from the hand of the oppressor the one who has been robbed.  Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place.”  …Blessings…cjlb…4/30/14
