Have you ever considered this, and the associated impact? What is my intention? What is your intention? What are we doing to further our cause? What are we doing to show others that our intentions are honorable, worthwhile, and contributes to the overall good of all concerned? Are we moving forward, in a positive way, to achieve our goals? We are told in 1 Corinthians 13:11-12 says: When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
Too often, we conduct ourselves in such a manner that we don’t seem to have “left our childhood” behind. We still are thinking like a child, acting childish, and functioning in child-like ways. We’ve NEVER grown up. Consequently, we’re given the “more simple assignments” at the work place; our wives find that they must take over the “man-role” of the family… plus their own. And our social life is in shambles; and we’re still carrying the “Bible for Children” to Church each week. No one is taking us serious.
If you “fit into any of this scenario” than you are in big trouble. You need to “get your act” in order…. You need to “grow-up.” Some of us are destined to be like this…. Never quite making it, and worse… not knowing why. You have to put a “want-to” in your heart. Yahoo’s CEO, Marissa Mayer, lives by a career credo: “Do things that you’re not quite ready to do. And surround yourself with the smartest people.” The Lesson here: Challenge yourself to your outer limits, and solicit the best people around you to help you achieve your goals. Approach those co-workers who are working the hardest, and they’ll find time to help you meet these challenges. You will find “help” is available all around you. Talk to your best friend, and seek his help and guidance. Talk to you Minister, and volunteer to take on teaching Sunday school to children (you ought to fit right in). Sit down with your spouse, and together, map out a POA (plan of action), and she’ll bend over backwards to SUPPORT your efforts.
Then, turn to God… through PRAYER. God, through the Holy Spirit, will provide an answer, assistance, and encouragement. John 14:26 – But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. And further, we are told in 2 Timothy 2:15 – Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
Then finally, we have God, who is very clear about helping us, as in Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
