As a nation, our sense of integrity began its nosedive, when in 1963 we threw God out of our schools….(it seems that “Corporate America”- kicked Him out of the Board Room about the same time). Were there consequences to that decision for our educational system?
Here are a just a few:
1) In the 1950’s & early 1960’s our best and brightest high school students… when compared to other nations in the world – in just mathematics and science – were ranked #1 or #2. According to the Wall Street Journal, on the same tests… the most recent results show we are ranked #26…just slightly ahead of Latvia.
2) Today, almost 40% of incoming college freshmen have to take remedial English & Math classes.
3) Due to ongoing troubles with declining SAT & ACT scores, the “wizards of smart,” in Princeton, NJ, who write and conduct these tests… have had to repeatedly “dumb down” the tests to improve sagging declines in the test scores.
4) In the 1950’s and 1960’s the most frequent high school miss-behaviors were chewing gum under the desks, talking in class, smoking in the rest rooms…or putting rocks in the hubcaps of your romantic competition. Today, they are drugs, murder and rape. How can it get worse?
Interestingly, (and to make matter worse) 10 years after throwing God out of our schools and boardrooms – our governmental “leadership” decides – in the 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision… to make the mother’s womb…. the most dangerous place in the United States in which to live.
According to the Center for Disease Control, (an interesting place to keep such records)… America has now killed over 55,000,000 (that’s 55 million) babies… due to abortion.
Our government leadership STILL refuses to cut off taxpayer funding to our National Butcher Shop (Planned Parenthood).
Yet, “we the people” don’t hold our Congressional Representatives accountable for their actions and continue to return them to their jobs….giving them a free pass…year after year… term after term.
Do we think God does not see this tragedy and won’t hold us accountable?
