“…Typically, I trust anyone, and everyone… until, or at least…they clearly prove they are “not trustworthy…”

20131109_210753WHO SHOULD WE TRUST: Who should we TRUST at the work place? Our Boss, our co-workers, our customers, or, how about the competition? Many go through their entire life being distrustful of others…those they have to inter-act with on a daily basis. It is often thought…if you can’t TRUST your Boss…then who can you TRUST?

Some members of management….have to be observed with a very “keen-eye,” if not….our ENTIRE government structure…from top to bottom.  God Bless America!

I few days ago… I was chatting with a total stranger (City Employee – Sewer Dept.), and he told me that he was trustful of everyone he came in contact with… that is…until they gave him a reason not to. My sentiment as well.

I’m old-fashioned sort of guy ….I trust people. Sure, if my co-worker is a rude, crude, slob, with poor hygiene, and hasn’t had a haircut in two years….well, then, YES, I would have reason for PAUSE. But, under normal conditions, when trust is broken…the whole environment changes. I may opt to give someone a “2nd chance…even a 3rd….but… when they strike-out three times….then, they’re OUT…as in…Good Riddance.

For those individuals…who just don’t trust anyone… think about how many good, and deserving, people they have overlooked. Which represents time lost, friendships lost….while you’re waiting on Mr. Perfect” to come along…. Who likely…NEVER will come along? Not to mention the “mind-set” of the distrusting person who goes through life… never trusting anyone. He must live a very stressful life.

For me… I don’t require people to prove that they’re trustful …only that they’re not. Typically, I trust anyone, and everyone… until, or at least…they clearly prove they are “not trustworthy.”

Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.

PS:  Happy Independence Day….”The 4th of July.”  Thank you God for giving us our independence…our Freedom, and the gift of “choice.”  Help us “always” to choose YOU.  We Love you……Amen.  God Bless America!!
