ENERGY vs. TIME: Which do you consider to be the more important resource? Give me ENERGY. I can CONTROL the ENERGY aspect, but TIME is fixed for most of us… at around 80 years; but… we don’t know when we’re going to run out of it; as God will be dealing with that issue. It’s how we energize our time that makes the difference.
ENERGY, when properly channeled, properly executed, with appropriate and wholesome motives; ample passion, and daps of stress… will, over a period of time…. over-come the barrier of TIME. Energy is what makes one’s time more valuable. Energy is the “gas” that keeps us constant motion.
Yet, we are doing more to destroy this valuable resource (our own body) with “obesity, drugs, alcohol, smoking, and anger.” The pillars of energy are physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual. Energy is something that we don’t want to run out of. ENERGY is, even, something that has been made a debatable issue, in the recent Presidential debates.
We are taking God’s Temple…our body, and therefore, our ENERGY, and “wasting our TIME and His,” because we seem to be hell-bent on destroying the “gift of life,” that is so precious to OUR SALVATION. Are you out of ENERGY?
Energy is not only a “physical condition,” but it also has a SPIRITUAL nature. We humans will also need our SPIRITUAL ENERGY, so that, we can “fight-off the snares of the devil.”
We are told in Ephesians 6:10-20 – “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness.”
Energy is a NECESSARY INCREDIANT in “all aspects of our life.” We need energy to go through “all phases of life,” beginning with school, marriage, career, and our spiritual needs. Energy is not something that the average person has on his/her mind; but when “you need it most,” and it’s not there…wow…you’re likely out of business. 1 Corinthians 12:6 clearly tells us who is in charge: “And there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.”
