WITNESS: One who testifies to the validity of fact because they saw it in-person. It is common for us to judge people by what we hear, not by what we see. Isn’t it interesting that out of all of the “contributors” to the Bible, only Matthew, John, and Peter actually knew Jesus, and saw many of His miracles, otherwise, not a single contributor to the bible ever saw Jesus in person, or any of His miracles, or any other of the incidents depicted in the bible. All of the contributors, other than these three… wrote the various books of the Bible, based on “2nd hand information.” Yet, we Christians accept their commentary as “fact” because of FAITH…and Faith alone.
The IRS scandal has legions of witnesses as to fact, yet “the facts” have been dismissed as speculation. Not a single person was prosecuted for the lies and illegalities; several even taking the 5th. Our Government Leaders lie to us repeatedly, yet we consistently vote them back into office… accepting their lies as fact and truth. We taxpayers are in default. How loud does the wake-up bell have to ring before we hear it?
If the President of the United State, and almost all state governors, are limited to two terms in elective office…. Then, WHY, are not…. the US House and Senate….limited to just “two terms.” The US House and Senate may CONTROL how long the “law allows” them to serve, but it is “YOU and I” who determine how long each member of the House and Senate serves. We DECIDE by exercising our right to VOTE.
We can CONTROL who is “in office” and who is “out.” So, there you have it… the “state of affairs” is ultimately ours… the VOTER, and the Tax-payer. We can BLAME ourselves.
Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
The Wisdom of Solomon tells us that “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” (Eccles 9:10) because you are, as Paul tells the Colossians, “serving the Lord Christ” and not really man. You are responsible for what you do at work and Christians can leave either a good witness or a bad example and shame the cause of Christ by doing shoddy work or slacking off on the job.
We are “responsible” for what we do…and that includes as to how we exercise our VOTE. Are we voting for what God wants… or for what “man” wants? Are you voting God out, and satan in? Do you think that this issue is not going to come up at the time of JUDGEMENT? Maybe yes….maybe no. Who wants to take the chance? Not me… I’m VOTING the RASCALS…O-U-T. I will not be voting for any ENCUMBANT! What say you?
