“… We are, until the last couple of years, required to SUBMIT proof of citizenship…”

God requires our "Submissive" will....

God requires our “Submissive” will….

SUBMISSION is a word that, for most people, seems to have a negative connotation.  I know, for me, it does.  It seems, almost, as if someone is waiting around the corner with a horse-whip, and is planning on beating me into submission.  About 10 years ago, I was involved in a 29 month consultant job, and one of the first items on my list was to ask “everyone” from the President and CEO down to the janitor, to SUBMIT a “write-up” on any word, or any subject that would present the subject to the rest of us in the manner that suited them best.  Length, or subject, was not assigned.  The concept met with very little resistance.  Until, that is, about one year into the “plan,” there was one lady who absolutely “refused” to participate.  She simply would not cooperate, and was animate about it.  She NEVER gave a reason, just refusal.  I finally, after trying all other manner of kindness and coaxing; I told her to submit or find another job.  She went to the CEO, and he gave it a “ditto.”  Several weeks later, she came up with an idea, a POA (plan-of-action), and SUBMITTED it, and it turned out to be very well received by all.  She was very proud, and seem to, finally, understand what our motive was.  The issue was: these people, simply, did not know how to communicate with each other, with their customer base, and….the Company (a $75 MM company) was going down the tube, unless a life-support POA was not thrown into action.  (The “turn-around-success” of that company is another story for another day).  We are also required to pay taxes and to SUBMIT to giving our money to the IRS, among other strident requirements and SUBMISSIONS.  We are, until the last couple of years, required to SUBMIT proof of citizenship.  Even, too, proof of insurance, or insurability, education, blood tests, sobriety.  We must SUBMIT to certain educational requirements in order to earn degrees, obtain jobs, travel documents, and voter registration; and the list goes on and on.  God even REQUIRES that we SUBMIT to certain things, in order to have life every-lasting with Him.  We must SUBMIT, eventually, to His “submissive will.”  We’re going to have to do it His way… no options.   We must REPENT of our sins [have a change of mind to go in another direction]. We must BELIEVE in the Lord Jesus Christ–his death, his burial, and his resurrection from the dead.  We must OBEY the word of God. This is different than just trying to be good enough, which we cannot do. To be saved, WE REPENT OF OUR OLD WAYS, BELIEVE IN JESUS, AND TRY TO OBEY HIS WORD. Then, as we strive to obey him, he helps us to obey him.  John 3:36 – He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. …Blessings… cjlb …8/12/14.
