In other words…let’s just keep everything just like it is.
Very often… we tend to want to leave everything as it is; not to take any chances… no risks; and NO excitement. Life, then… can get, sometimes… pretty boring. Please, don’t be satisfied with the status—quo. Because… if you’re not moving forward, then you are sitting still. And, that’s not progress, and it’s not healthy… for your career, your family, or… your spiritual life.
Even the guy with 20 Million bucks… is not satisfied with the status-quo. It’s the same as burying your money in the back yard. We’re obligated to Management to “move forward,” to improve, to learn, to excel. We have an obligation to God to pursue all that we can to learn more about Him… and all that He is expecting from us… as STEWARDS of the life that He has given us. We cannot, and should not sit idle, and be satisfied with the status-quo. Remember: God doesn’t like us to be ‘Luke warm.’ Rather… He wants a STRONG commitment.
In 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 – The Apostle Paul speaks about the social aspects rather than spiritual. He call attention to their humble state at the time of their calling… For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised, God has chosen, the things that are not, that He might nullify the things that are, that no man should boast before God…
When we human-kind come to realize that …we… each of us… are ‘one-of-a-kind.’ When God made each of us… He threw the mold away. Yet… we seem determined to COPY others, especially those with ‘worldly’ ambition… Folly-wood types, and the like. Why not… just be the person who God intended us to be….fishers of men, and followers of Christ.
…Blessings to all as we climb the ladder out of ‘the status quo.’ …cjlb…10/29/2017
